2) Why was there a change from having 8 ‘sectors’ to 5 ‘industries’? Be sure to list the 8 sectors and explain the reason for changing to 5 industries. /3

Transportation. Food and beverage. Adventure tourism, recreation and ecotourism . Accommodation .Tourism services. Meeting, events and conferences. Adventure, ecotourism, attraction.

Food and beverage. This sector includes workers in fast food chains, fine dining, this sector has been grow, it has also expanded into food and beverage chains in other public areas such as bookstores.

Examples of Canadian organizations/businesses that are part of this industry. /2

Canadian Organization: Food & Beverage Canada, Restaurant service.

Canadian Businesses: Tim Hortons, Starbucks

Station agent

Answer inquiries regarding information such as schedules, accommodations, procedures, and policies.
Determine whether space is available on travel dates requested by customers, assigning requested spaces when available.
Make and confirm reservations for transportation and accommodations, using telephones, faxes, mail, and computers.
Plan routes, itineraries, and accommodation details, and compute fares and fees, using schedules, rate books, and computers.
Confer with customers to determine their service requirements and travel preferences.

Accommodation/Hotel

Accommodations is a tourism rest, temporarily live and provide all services of accommodation. They also provide food and a place of leisure and recreation. They even have a sauna and gym to meet customers’ demand

Tourism service

Tourism services are services where you give it to a tourist or a customer. Tourism services gives some good advice to their costumers to show how their company functions correctly and to show how nice their service is.
